Photo of an outdoor lamp prototype
finished last weekend with Lorna Secrest
for one of her favorite landscape clients in Pittsburgh

The final lamp is to be made from:
Ipe , Copper shade, cap and bracket
with a cast concrete pillar

SOFA Santa Fe 2010 .... great city ... great time in New Mexico !
Drove three days to Santa Fe and showed a new piece with my bench and table
with the William Zimmer Gallery
Titled : "Beacon Southwest"

The piece is 99" high with a light tower.
A narrow six foot high mirror is directly below the light shade.
The solid curved Sapele door swings open to reveal nine trays to display objects.
Material: Smoked White Oak veneer on outside of door, solid Sapele tower and concrete base.
The exterior Sapele tower is dyed Black and the Sapele interior has been left its natural color.

REED PLANTERS

Initially designed as accent pieces for my furniture display.
But soon after completing everyone was drawn to them.
colleges, delivery people and shop visitor's all wanted one.
They are a nice addition to the foyer furniture line.
"FOYER GREETINGS"

They are made of solid wood 5 1/2 sq. and rest on cast concrete bases which I do here.
I hand carve the center detail on the top, it takes time but this is the detail that
adds so much to them.

The set of three are $1,200.

This table was designed to compliment the
The bench titled: "Vertical Rest" ... a time for the body to take a rest from being vertical.
At the time I was creating numerous narrow vertical wall and free standing pieces,
so the title also referred to me taking a rest from creating vertical pieces.
